Greenville Housing is a govornment agency in Greenville, South Carolina that gives down payment assistance to qualifying applicants. To qualify, you must be an eligible first-time homebuyer purchasing a home in Greenville County and make less than 80% of median income. If you live in the purcahsed home for more than 5 years, the $3,000 is forgiven completely, essentailly making the assistance free money.

       Greenville Housing also has a program called "Home from Work" which is $5,000 down payment assistance to eligible employees of the Greenville Hospital System. These employees may be eligible if they make up to 100% of area median income.
